Dancing with the Stars: Let Us All Breathe a Collective Sigh of Relief

I shuddered in the opening moments of tonight's episode after seeing everyone was wearing their hip hop costumes. Nooo please don't make me endure that again! But they did. And some things became even more painful on second viewing: Lance's mullet, Susan's inability to learn cheoreography, and the fact that Lacey is the only professional who can remotely do hip-hop. But she has worked with Shane Sparks on that other dance show, so I guess that's not totally unexpected.

Yay Cody got through, which means that next week, perennial DWTS bridesmaid Edyta Sliwinska will stand in for Julianne. Not sure how that will work out, but you can be damn sure I'll be watching.

And our last week of ballroom kids! The first couple, Craig and Samantha, are automatically my favs because they are siblings to Cara the Cutest Kid Ever from last season. Simon and Lucy, couple #2, do ballet and are also prone to arguing. And yay, a unanimous decision for Craig and Samantha!

Then it was time for "Celtic Tiger" - no silly, not an Irish porno - Michael Flatley step dancing on a flaming box dressed as Al Capone. I mean, what else would it be? But this wasn't nearly as strange as when DWTS called in a Marine to explain the trials and tribulations of ballroom dance. The few, the proud, the chicken dinner.

Yay Susan and Cloris are in the bottom two! I love when America gets it right, even more so when it means Cloris is going home. Finally, all is right with the universe.
