Awhile back, I posted about ways that Walt Disney World could show Mother Earth some love, namely by putting recycling bins for guests to dispose of their plastic water bottles. Well guess what? Epcot is getting on board! All Ears has some pics of the new recycling receptacles, and they look great. The bottle shape clearly stands out and guests will (hopefully) be very likely to use them now - I mean, what kind of jerk throws his water bottle in the normal trash when there's a water bottle shaped recycling bin directly next to the trash can?
Now, as far as I know, these bins are only in Future World in Epcot, so in order to be really effective, Disney would have to put these recycling bins all over ALL the parks and the resorts. But at least these baby steps are headed in the right direction. I hope by the time of our next visit (next summer), I'll be seeing signs of a greener, more eco-friendly WDW.
