Definitely try to stay at Bay Lake Tower. We're also DVC members, and LOVE Bay Lake Tower. The members lounge on the top of the tower is a spectacular spot to watch Wishes!

Two points- Definitely try the Yachtsman this year. It's fabulous! We just ate there on our last trip and the mozzarella appetizer is worth the trip alone!

As for rope drop, it has been my goal each and every year... and it never gets done. It happened once when I worked there. My then boyfriend (now husband) dragged me out of bed to rope drop at the Studios for Star Wars Weekends. I want to do rope drop at the MK, I just need to find the strength!

Great resolutions! We own at SSR as well, but I really like Kidani Village and Old Key West as well (nope, the cheaper point rate doesn't affect that decision at all. :) ). I keep trying for Wilderness Lodge/Bay Lake Tower but can never get a studio there.

As for dining... have you tried Kouzzina yet? We did it last month and I fell in love with their steak. Just sayin'.

I loved the Wild Africa Trek. I'm a huge fan of Animal Kingdom and it was nice to be a bit behind the scenes with a small group and two cast members. Best part is riding around the safari and being able to stop and go whenever. I think I learned a lot more about the animals and their behaviors and it was just SO awesome.
